Chalet Toda was built in 1997 by Evi and Gotthard Strolz. For a long time it only had the house number 586 so that it could be found among the houses in Lech. In 2023 we gave the chalet a careful facelift and named it after Gotthard's nickname “Toda”. Gotthard was charming in his humor and charming is the coincidence that Toda means “thank you” in Hebrew. That's nice. But we only found out when the name was already painted on the house. Well, that could have gone wrong.
The Chalet Toda sees itself as a place for Family time. Because nothing is more valuable than the hours you spend with your loved ones on vacation.
The heart of the house is the old "Stube" from the 18th century, which was carefully removed from a dilapidated farmhouse and reinstalled in Lech. Chalet Toda was literally planned around this existing room. Austria is famous for careful carpentry work. At that time, like today.
Meals are taken in the Stube. Storys told. And cards played. But you can also stretch your legs by the cozy tiled stove.
Speaking of meals: Chalet Toda is self-catered. This means that you can decide for yourself what you want to cook and enjoy preparations together, or be the chef yourself. Our kitchen is well-equipped with a stove, oven, microwave and dishwasher, because no one wants to wash up by hand on vacation. The well-equipped Spar supermarket is only 80m away and also opens on Sundays.
Spices and oils for everyday use, selected teas and of course a Nespresso machine with tabs can be found in the house.
If you wish, the village baker will hang freshly baked goods on your door in the morning (after ordering online by 7 p.m.).
Because wine is an important topic for us: we fill your drinks fridge in the utility room with a selection of Burgundy wines and grower champagnes. Of course, there are also a few Austrians and other good wines. Psst - do you like port wine? Us too. Billing is based on consumption.

Familytime is important. Free space too. Especially if you have teenage children, you know - and foremost they know what we're talking about. Chalet Toda offers generous space for everyone, and several cozy corners to linger alone. For example, in front of the open fireplace in the really large hall of the chalet, in the TV room or in the gallery on the first floor. Everyone finds their place to ponder or even sulk. Don't worry, the WiFi works.
Last but not least: the rooms. Each of the three rooms are different. Each charming. You can decide on the spot according to your taste, or of course let the lot speak.
Room One impresses with its size and the walk-in wardrobe, Room Two is a little smaller, but also has a walk-in closet. These two rooms share a very large bathroom with a sauna (Finnish with soft bath function), bathtub and walk-in shower. Room three is the smallest, but has a separate small bathroom with shower.
In the TV room – it should be mentioned – there is one pull-out couch which can accommodate one adult (or two children up to 12 years old). There are no extra beds and they are not provided.
In the sous-parterre you will find space for your skis and ski boots, helmets and gloves. You will also find a handmade toboggan from the Bregenzerwald and two Zipfelbobs for use.
There are three balconies and two terraces. Wrapped up in a blanket, you can sit there comfortably on sunny days. And of course much longer in March.
The location of Chalet Toda is central – not to say very central:
200m to the Rüfikopf lift, which takes you to Zürs.
300m to the Lech ski area.
You are still far enough away from the snow bars to enjoy some well-deserved silence.
With the booking confirmation we will send you a list of selected local providers (babysitting, ski school, restaurants). It may be necessary to make early reservations during peak seasons.

The chalet can only be rented as a whole and on a weekly basis.

A baby bed can be provided (child: 0-2 years) subject to availability and upon request.

Cleaning of the kitchen (upon request) for an additional charge of 50 euros per day.

Cancellations:
More than 60 days before travel: no cancellation fee
90 days – 21 days: 100% of the price
No-Show: 100% of the price
In the event of late arrival or early departure, the entire weekly price will be charged.
