In the heart of Chablis, the Bouchard family is breathing new life into an old house. De L’Enclos is young, urban, yet deeply rooted in the region – one of the most exciting new ventures in the appellation.
Romain and Damien Bouchard founded the 19-hectare estate in 2016, certified organic from the outset. Their Chablis wines – from Petit Cru to Grand Cru – exhibit uncompromising clarity, a saline texture, and ripe fruit without overripeness. Vinification takes place partly in stainless steel and partly in used oak barrels – without fining or filtration.
Sommeliers praise the modern approach to the classic style. The New York Times described the Premier Cru wines as “textbook Chablis with a twist.”
