Domaine Humbert & Frères
Gevrey-Chambertin
Brothers Frédéric and Emmanuel Humbert are deeply rooted in Gevrey-Chambertin – yet they forge their own path: quiet, unpretentious, with a utmost focus on terroir and precision. Their wines are among the underrated gems of the Côte de Nuits.
The estate comprises approximately 7 hectares, including parcels in Premier Cru and the Grand Cru vineyard Charmes-Chambertin. Since the early 2000s, the Humberts have pursued a clear philosophy: minimal intervention, maximum balance. The vines are old, the harvest selective. Gevrey-Chambertin in its classic form.
Antonio Galloni describes their wines as "refined and elegant, never forced." They are profound, but never heavy, with precise fruit expression and a cool minerality – true ambassadors of their origin.
“We are winemakers, not technicians. The wine speaks when you listen to it.” – Frédéric Humbert (La Revue du Vin de France, 2016)
Humbert & Frères work quietly – but their wines have something to say.
