Champagne Laherte
Chavot
Brothers Aurélien and Charles Laherte do things differently – and that's precisely why their wines are among the most sought-after in the natural wine scene. Their Champagnes are wild, serious, and uncompromisingly terroir-driven.
The family estate's 11 hectares are spread across 10 villages, with a focus on Meunier and Pinot Noir. Work in the vineyard is biodynamically inspired, involving extensive manual labor and rigorous selection. Fermentation takes place in old barrels, there is no filtration, and dosage is low to zero.
Sommeliers worldwide rave about the wines' "dancing intensity," while Peter Liem calls them "powerful, raw, and exciting." The single-vineyard cuvées, such as "Les Vignes d'Autrefois" and "Les 7," have achieved cult status.
“We don’t want control. We want balance.” – Aurélien Laherte (La RVF, 2019)
Laherte Frères is not a brand – it’s a manifesto.
