Domaine Y. Clerget
Volnay

Yves Clerget is one of the oldest names in Volnay – the family's roots stretch back to 1268. But it wasn't until Thibaud Clerget took over in 2015 that the estate once again became a driving force in the region.
After stints at Hudelot-Noëllat and Domaine Drouhin Oregon, Thibaud took over the family winery with renewed energy. Today, he cultivates around 6 hectares in Volnay, Pommard, and Meursault – including Premier Crus such as Clos du Verseuil and Caillerets. The vines are cultivated organically, the wines undergo spontaneous fermentation, and are crafted with meticulous care.
Critics like William Kelley praise the clear, bright style and the "floating elegance" of his wines. His wines are also in demand internationally – not least because of their uncompromising character.
“I want wines that flow – not ones that have to fight.” – Thibaud Clerget (Wine Enthusiast, 2019)
Yves Clerget is a young-at-heart winery – and a promise for the future.
